~sigh~

This shouldn't have been hard to figure out, people.

If I haven't updated this journal since April (yet you know that I update my LJ obsessively), clearly I've abandoned it.

Take me off your subscription lists. I certainly won't be offended, and you're not in danger of missing anything.

From now on, if you want to contact me...most of you have my phone number. And e-mail. And now my LiveJournal link. I'm not hard to get ahold of and I spent way too many years being everybody's bitch and calling y'all and arranging what, when and how we'd meet up when I come home.

So if you want to talk to me, or have life changing news, use one of the aforementioned communication methods. 'Cause the odds of you seeing me when I'm in Holland are pretty slim; I hate the city and don't plan on being back there very much after next summer (when my parents are nearly forcing me to go home; unless I travel to London, in which case, fuck 'em). I'll be home for a few days around Christmas, but the boyfriend will be in tow for several of them (one being a major holiday), so my social callendar is pretty much booked.

See ya' in LJ land.

Your Brain is 46.67% Female, 53.33% Male

Your brain is a healthy mix of male and female

You are both sensitive and savvy

Rational and reasonable, you tend to keep level headed

But you also tend to wear your heart on your sleeve

I think I'm the only person on Xanga more male than female.

And congrats goes out again to the WO MIFA competitors. Part of me wishes I could have been there, if only to hang out Friday night at the social, but I was conned into going into Ann Arbor and Pinball Pete's. There's a story there about why I have angst over that, but it's not for this public forum.

Found out from a girl on LJ that GVSU's gaming group is planning a gaming con in April...I'm going to be doing all I can to go to that. It'd be sweet. And for you GVSU people...Alternate Realities is the name of the group, meeting Wednesday nights at 7 in Mackinac if you want to check it out. Tell them that girl on LJ sent you

Am incredibly jealous seeintg all the happy entries over WO going to State....

In case Cameron flakes out, I'm reminding everyone else that they have to tell me when you're performing, 'cause if it's Friday I'm going to do everything in my power to be there (though now that I know Cameron's there, this means I won't be begging a ride from Billy )

I also find all the bitterness over the Sentinel to be amusing. Apparently no one remembers that my senior year our picture was in the paper when Holland was the one going to State. They don't have a reporter/photographer there the entire day; they go, maybe do an interview or two, snap a picture of whatever local school is on stage, and then get the follow up information after the competition.

Life here is going well. I have five forensics events qualified (prose, poetry, two duos and impromptu. Not sure whether or not this qualifies me for pentathalon since I'm doubling up in duo...but I really don't want to put in the work to write an informative). Impromptu kicks so much ass. I'm definitely one of the contenders for going to the state competition now (we get to send three people in each event and there are no qualifiers like at the HS level).

Life with Billy is awesome as well. As intimated in the last post, our one-year anniversary is coming up. Next Monday to be specific, though we're celebrating this weekend since Sunday and Monday nights I have rehearsal for 'Anyone Can Whistle.' It'll be so nice to be in a musical again. I haven't sang outside of karaoke since...wow. MIFA my senior year. Yeah 'Labors of Love'!

Academic Advising informed me yesterday that theoretically, I can begin my student teaching in Spring '07. In reality I'm sure it'll be Fall '07, either because financial aid will continue to screw me over, or you really can't student teach in the Spring semester, since I'd only be there for half the the students' semester. And I really don't want to teach second semester. Can you imagine how terrible that'd be, especially if I had seniors? I think I want to teach 7th or 8th graders right at the beginning of the year, before they have the guts to mouth off to me

Congrats again to all you WO folks

Congrats WO

You have no idea how unbelievably proud I am.

State is in Chelsea I hear? Hm...I could possibly squeeze in a trip Friday (Saturday I'm celebrating my anniversary and I'm sorry, but none of you are more important than my sexy sexy boyfriend and our anniversary plans).
